More About Me

Stefanie Peti is a method actress, humanitarian, screenwriter, producer, and entrepreneur who divides her time between Los Angeles and New York. With a rich heritage encompassing European and Latin American roots, she was raised between Spain and Uruguay, holding triple nationality: Spanish, Uruguayan, and American. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is also fluent in Catalan.

Stefanie holds a degree in Arts and Performance and pursued graduate studies in Theatre Studies, with a focus on Dramaturgy and Screenwriting, at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She later earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Producing from UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television in Los Angeles. She further refined her craft at the world-renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, studied the Stanislavski Method at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting, and has spent the past several years training at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio in Hollywood. The diverse training she has received has enabled her to transform authentically into her characters, analyze scripts with depth, and bring a profound understanding of the human experience to every performance. She has been a member of the Actors Studio for five years, having been selected after her second audition.

Stefanie gained recognition for her leading role as Sofia Rojas, an FBI agent, in the family crime drama Black Blood on Amazon Prime. Her screen credits also include appearances in HBO’s Ballers and Minx, as well as films and television productions including Love Sonia, Oh Boy!, This Is How I Lost My Virginity, Criminal Minds, Sugar, Exorcism, Date, and Out of the Blue.

Recently, Stefanie produced her first feature film, Malecón, in Cuba. She has also written two original screenplays: Behind the Front, exploring mental health and depression, and 2C, addressing drug abuse and its devastating impact on young people.

In addition to her work in film, Stefanie is the Founder and CEO of MOOR NYC, a New York–based lifestyle brand specializing in thoughtfully designed luxury travel accessories for pets. Inspired by her own travels and the close bond she shares with her dog, the company reflects her entrepreneurial vision and commitment to creating products that combine innovation, functionality, and timeless design.

Inspired by the many cultures she has encountered throughout her travels, Stefanie’s compassion and understanding of people are deeply reflected in both her artistic work and humanitarian efforts. Having lived in seven countries and traveled to nearly seventy, she has participated in humanitarian missions across Africa, helping raise funds for and support the creation of six schools in South Sudan and Uganda, providing educational opportunities to children in underserved communities. She also collaborates with international organizations committed to advancing children’s education and combating child sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Passionate about contemporary art, literature, and poetry, Stefanie is drawn to projects that explore the complexities of the human condition. She aspires to write, produce, and direct films that tell the stories of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances, giving a voice to those who are too often unheard.

Humanitarian Work

Stefanie is actively engaged in Eastern Africa with two organizations dedicated to supporting children affected by extreme poverty.

World of Children is an organization committed to eradicating sexual abuse and child trafficking. It prioritizes the well-being and safety of young girls while leading the fight against female genital mutilation and child marriage.

Amref focuses on critical health issues affecting infants, including diabetes, HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, cholera, and the struggle for access to clean water.

Following the profound impact of her first humanitarian trip to Africa in 2014, Stefanie recognized the importance and responsibility of collaboration in advocating for the basic rights and well-being of the most vulnerable children. She consistently seeks projects that give a voice to the voiceless and provide opportunities for those who lack them.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice."

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
- Nelson Mandela
